Deborah Cloyed
Deborah Cloyed grew up in the Greater DC Metropolitan Area. After graduating magna cum laude from The College of William & Mary, she ran a commercial freelance photography business in Los Angeles for three years, while moonlighting as a travel writer. Deborah lived in London, Barcelona, and Thailand and traveled to over thirty countries on five continents (several as a contestant on CBS’ The Amazing Race!).
Deborah Cloyed worked as a fashion and commercial photographer in Tegucigalpa, Honduras before moving to Kenya, to direct micro finance initiatives in Muslim communities. Following Africa, she interned in publishing in New York while working nights as a wine sommelier, before returning to Los Angeles. She continues to work in the photography industry, while teaching writing and photography to children and teenagers. Deborah has two novels published: The Summer We Came to Life and What Tears Us Apart; both published by Mira and imprint of Harlequin. |
