Mary was born and raised in Pittsfield, Massachusetts—the heart of the Berkshires. After attending the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, she moved to Boston where she lived until a job opportunity brought her and her husband to Los Angeles. Just as she was settling into the SoCal lifestyle, opportunity knocked again. This time, in Detroit.

She never expected to embrace the Motor City, but she’s a firm believer in the universe unfolding 
exactly as it should, everything happening for a reason, synchronicity … all that. Now it’s Detroit love all the way.

When she’s not writing or editing in her home office, she’s planning her next trip, spooning her beagle mix puppy, practicing yoga, or curled up with a glass of Cab and a good book.

Mary lives with her husband and dog in the Detroit area.
